Hydrabadi dum biryani calls for meticulously measured ingredients and a practised technique. Cooked traditionally. Dum pukht method (slow breathing oven in persian) is what we use to make hydrabadi dum biryani. This method has been passed down for generations and we wouldn't do it any other way. All ingredients are loaded in a pot and slow cooked in an oven to allow the dum or steam to work its magic. The pot is sealed around the edges with dough, this allows the steaming of meat or vegetables to tenderise in its own juices while flavouring the rice.

We have ordered from here a few times and it has always been lovely and the order bang on! They've even given us a free garlic bread once.Tonight we ordered and we were missing two parts of the order and one of our chicken dishes didn't smell right at all. I phoned and they were really apologetic on the phone and offered a replacement and assured me he was going to check the chicken straight away. I declined because how late it was, but 15 minutes after I hung up the shop owner himself delivered us a fresh new meal with the missing sides and a complimentary bottle of diet coke. The replacement meal was lovely and much appreciated.They couldn't have done more to put this right and have definitely reassured me about the chicken, we had got the wrong order with his homemade Carribbean sauce on. The "off" smell was because this is a fruity sauce and even admitted himself that if you don't know what it is, you would mistake it for something off.Still one of our go to takeaways!

Ordered £22 worth of food, took 1 hour and 20 minutes to come. I asked for pot of garlic mayo and onions, would’ve happily paid extra, completely ignored. Onions rings came squashed in a bag. Very unhappy, all went in the bin. Will never order again ???? be aware!!! After looking at the other reviews, I wish I would’ve read them! Stay away.
